Wow, kinda unusual but appears to be working.
Is the battery fully charged and good?

It's Walmart battery. It's about year old, didn't do too well on 100 amp load test. It's dropped down to 11.3 volt. I think it should be little higher then that.

Always clean my terminals at least twice a month, has new 2 gauge wire coming from alternator. Wire from alternator goes straight to batt. But from factory it should go to fuse box terminal. Maybe that's a problem.

The wiring on your battery is less than ideal. You may want to consider putting ring terminals on the two cables that have copper wire exposed and then heat shrink them. Run a set of these battery terminals if the existing battery does not have side posts.

Ditch the wing nuts for a flat washer and regular hex nut.

Nope. Right or wrong, I generally buy batteries from dealership and in lieu of that, an equivalent or one with a higher [reserve capacity] than the original. I don't buy 1-year batteries [ever] because the plates are paper thin.

I really appreciate your suggestion. Temporary I repositioned the wires where it's getting a lot more surface connection area. Car feels a lot better, still pings from time to time. Yesterday after getting engine up to 3k rpms many many l times while driving seems to stop pinging. It's like getting every last bit of changing into battery seems to help. I wonder how bad this light pinging is it for the rings and bearing?

It's not loud knock. But very distinct tap tap sound right around 2000rpm to 2300rpm..

What kind of compression does the motor have? Where is the base timing set at and how did you go about setting the timing? What octane fuel are you running?

Good questions. Havent checked compression yet. Timing 10 deg btdc. I took out the connector plug (I don't know what it's called. ) to lock the timing. And set it at 10 deg mark.. Running 87.

Ran 93 before but I remember still did it.

A few days ago seem like it stopped, when I ran at higher rmps, taking car to 3k rpms many times to give it extra electric current

Yesterday I ran the car with hazards on and every 30 sec it would have a ignition break up like a little hickup. Some weird electrical problem.

IGN modules seem to be the primary problem folks are having in the last $0 days; seeing it from multiple Mustang forums..
