Fixed my front end squeeeeeekkkk!!

I had the usual annoying as hell front end squeek. I was in Lowes today and saw a can of spray white lithium and decided to try it out.

Anyways, I took the spray tube and cut one end at an angle then poked it into the boots of both tie rod ends and ball joints. Sprayed the grease into it until it was full then let the pressure out of the boots. Checked the front end and the noise was still there.

Decided to try the steering rack bolts. As soon as I started loosening the drivers side, squeeeeeekkkk. Took the bolt out of that side and sprayed it down with the grease and sprayed the bushings as well. Put that back together and did the passengers side. Got back into the car and tried it and the squeek was gone!!

If ya got the front end squeek try greasing the steering rack bushings, maybe it will help.

Maybe, but at least he found the source of his squeak. Injecting a heavier lube into the bushing might be a more permanent solution.
And maybe this is none of my business, but referring to a 29 yr old (presumed Marine ) man, as "son", is derogatory in my book.

Have anyone tried using a syringe and injecting a lube into bushings, ball joints or ??? I've heard of others doing this, but I don't know any other details (what type of syringe, type of lube, etc) Heck, here in FL, you can't buy medical syringes over the counter at the drug store anymore - too many druggies.
But I'm sure there's a better way...

thats funny, they give syringes away for free in NY
i got the same squeek though it sucks. I did the same thing and found it was my inner tie rod ends. why the hell doesn't ford believe in grease fittings?

I'm just a wannabe Mustang owner but it sounds like Anti-seize might
work. They make spray anti-seize. Penetrating Red Grease is very
good also. Both are alot better than White Lithium, just messier.
(Red grease is a mess on door hinges and latches) Might wanna
give them a try.

This is what I was thinking at first, but I broke a couple of syringes trying to inject the grease. Also, the plastic doesn't like it when you put heated grease into it.

As far as using lithium, it might not be the best to use, but it got the job done for now. At least until I can find a better way to grease the bushings.

the hyp-needle grease thing works ,the ones that are made in China wont last , it didnt hurt anything on my 99 but must be done about every 6 months in the ball joints & tie rod ends....I also spray the white lube on all the parts under there while I'm doing the lube trick .......PS I dont think the guy who said SON' meant any harm as its just street slang as " wass-up son! ..lighten up guys its only a chat site.................

Because the average Mustang owner isn't gonna bother greasing them up.

I am a TOOL????

Fix the problem..............

Greases to not mix Mr. Marine.

Rack bushings will dissolve with oil/grease.
Change them out to black poly, no squeak.

Synthetic or Graphite grease is best to use, not white lithium (waste of time & money)
All old grease has to be removed in order to use newer grease.

While we are on the subject, can someone make a list of things that need regular lubing or maintenance to keep from squeeking? Also the type of grease/lube that needs to be used. What do you suggest Cavallo?

Well gee, I'm glad you finally decided to enlighten us with your knowledge. Maybe if you had taken the time to explain this the first time you posted instead of some incoherent quip, I would have been more receptive.

I guess we'll see what is going to happen. I'm glad that you've been so helpful in offering advice.

took mine to the dealer and they replaced my rack bushings and havent had a single noise since. That was back in march
