First, if there is a tech article, i don't know about it and sorry for repetitivenes.
However, i checked another website and found that my 85 mustang lx 2.3liter should have a timing of 10degree at 850 rpm,
So i borrowed my friends gun and checked it, it was way off the plastic piece to point the gun at, it goes to i think 30 degrees and it had to of been about 40 degrees.
So we adjusted it to 10 degrees and had to really buff up the throttle to keep it idleing. Then it would put and run worthless when i drove it. So i went back and changed it to 25 degrees and it runs, but not as good as when it was at the 40ish range.
Could anyone know why, or just say screw it and leave it there?
It's got a new distributro cap and rotor, but i put them in a while ago. New spark plugs and wires.
