Gonna order my 06 gt in a week or so. Is there anything I should watch for, anything i should ask etc.....I want to make this hurry up and wait time as painless as possible. Also whats this i hear about 18 bullet wheels available for the 06 gt? Thanks guys

Get a VOC from your dealer when you order and tell him you would like a copy of the DORA when he gets it a few days after the order it placed. Ask for a low priority number and get how far back in line you are and how many GT's he get in each month. That should help you guess when you will see your car and you can track it off the info on the VOC or DORA.

Wheel option 64W is rumored (strong one) to be a bullit style wheel. BUT is listed as "late availability" so... no firm date on when cars ordered with this will be built.
64E is the 18" Fanblades... pics of both are here: http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/timeline/05/06/

Good luck.

I found out through other member's posts who have gone through the waiting game is that they have gone to other dealerships in their area to find the dealer with the highest allocation for that model. If you don't get a straight answer or they dance around the question go find another dealer! Some members agree that low priority numbers and low order numbers don't mean squat if the dealer has a low allocation for the model you want. Good luck.

Get a V6 coupe with automatic without the pony package!

In all seriousness, find out how many others are waiting on their orders, find out how many the dealership usually gets allocated. Avoid all 18" wheels for now. And something else just went on control this past week, want to say it was the active antitheft. Can't recall
