Looking for thoughts from anyone who's done this mod.
My off-season plans are to revisit my suspension mods...and further improve what's already been done, and I'm seriously considering this mod in addition to the other stuff planned. What I'm looking for is to lose that slight "sloppy" feeling the stock steering has....that little "disconnect" or "play" in the wheel that makes you question where the front grip is going into a corner.
I've been corresponding with Flaming River, and it appears that their replacement rack is a direct replacement. It's a power rack so I'm assuming that the stock pump, pulley, reservoir etc. remain intact.
FR says that their rack is 2 1/2 turns lock-to-lock..and I'm not sure how this compares to the stocker.
So..if anyone has done this mod...I'd love to hear some feedback.
