I have an 02 v6 and my blinkers only work occasionally. Sometimes I'll hit the turn signal and nothing will happen, other times they will flash 5 times and then stop. Note: the emergency flashers work just fine, 100% of the time.

I have checked the fuses and they're ok, so I think it's the flasher. However I can't find the stupid thing and it's not noted in the manual. Does anyone know where to find this?

Sounds like the turn signal switch in the steering column since the hazards operate fine.

^ Yeah I agree. Sounds exactly like the problem I had with my old Chevy. The turn signal assembly was rather expensive too (~$200).

Could have a bad connection or a bare wire or something. I think Ford lets monkeys wire their cars. I've had nothing but problems with headlight switches and pigtails.

shouldn't be hard... 30 minutes tops... get a chiltons or a haynes guide to help

Definately get a Haynes as stated. Also be careful when working on the steering column. Deploying the airbag can be an expensive(if not painful/deadly) mistake.

You can also buy a workshop manual I got one, and it works for mercuries and other fords (F-150's etc.) and it cost $11 W/ shipping and it's way better i believe than the haynes and chiltons, i got a haynes already, but the WSM was a way better buy, it even shows interior as well as body parts removal and fixing, etc.
