I just flipped my IAC upside down and she fired right up and idled well with no stalling, my high idle time is a little too short so I guess I would have to reprogram my ECU for that, but the problem is I cant leave the IAC upside down because the plug hits the hood. How does everone else flip the thing and get it to clear the hood?

The only time an IAC should be installed upside down is if the instructions for it say to do so (some aftermarket units specify being upside down). This is not a ubiquitious thing to try to help a bad idle.

i need to try this and see if it fixes my idle problem. i have a pretty bad surge at idle, do you think this will fix it? regardless, my car is going to the dyno this weekend to get a nice tune. if i can't fix it, hopefully my pals at powerhouse can!

Just put on my Cervini hood today, looks AWESOME! Still wont clear the plug though. I took off the Steeda air plate and it seemed to cure the cold idle problem. I still need to extend my cold high idle time by 30-45 sec. Do I have to buy a programmer or is there an easy fix for that?

Just in case some of you haven't already benn there...

See "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle problems. The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
