Floor Mat Hook

04 GT missing the floor mat hook on the drivers side. Any way to replace or fabricate something to fix this? Dealer say entire carpet has to be replaced...

id like to know about some type of "fix" also.
my hooks been gone the whole time ive owned the car. its a pita to keep putting the mat back.

Did it physically rip out of the carpet??


Dealer is right, carpet needs to be replaced really. But if you go through ACC you can prob get a new carpet for under $200.


You could engineer a fix...drill a hole through the floorpan and install a bolt on hook? I personally wouldn't do that. Maybe you could sandwich something from the bottom of the carpet to make it work?

Velcro might work, I'm sure it would keep the mat in place. Or you can just leave it out. Mine's been out since day one- it kept sliding up under the pedals

My carpet ripped out too and I just drilled the hook into the floor Been working just fine

Big +1 - even with the hook the front of the mat is gonna wanna wonder around a bit, velcro ftw!
