Flowmaster Axel Back+Xpipe

I had Flows on before I did the Roush conversion and they were fn loud and raw. Great sound. Was considering switching the mufflers back in, but the Mag's turned out to be almost as loud (not the same rawness, though).

I wish I could tell you. I ordered a set of Flowmaster axle backs from Summit about 2 months ago. They are still on backorder. Thats what I get for going the cheapest route I could find, $277.00 with free shipping. Im not sure if these mufflers are a 2 or 3 chamber design, but I hear they sound good with an O/R X-pipe. The guy at the local flowmaster shop told me he put a set of 40's on a GT about a month ago. He said it just didnt sound right (weak). I figure the guys at flowmaster know what there doing, so I ordered the kit designed for the car. I just wish they would hurry up and get here. Im going to put on with the stock H-pipe for now but if there not loud enough I will add the O/R X-pipe.

What mufflers are on the axel back I know the mufflers on the axel back were specifically designed for the 2005 mustang but are they 40series. I want to know if i should get the axel back or get a custom 40series exhaust. I am also going to put a bassani x pipe w/o cats. Either way i am staying with flowmaster b/c of the sound of them on a mustang.

Don't go with the 40's I did and quckly found out that they will drone you out. You will be able to feel the HP lost too. If you can take that, the sound isn't too bad. Got the american thunder installed last week and I'm very satisfied with them
