So i just took a peek under my car to check for the part number stamped on my mufflers. I found the number " 942543"
which are 40 series Delta Flow 2 chambers.

Now what im confused about is my car sounds nothing like all the other 2 chamber mustangs out there. Its actually very quiet when compared to a mustang with the same setup. I do have a terrible drone like 2chambers produce, but at the same time my car is quiet. My take off is quiet unless i ram the gas pedal or rev high.

Im wondering would there even be a difference with the original 40's when compared to my Delta 40's. BEcause i thought Delta 40's produced the same outside noise, but had quiet inside noise.

And yep these mufflers are old.. not new.

Thanks

edit: Here how my car sounds right now.. but its 5.0.. doesn't sound like a o/r pipe mustang to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqdaszH__kw

I think it sounds right. My old car had Flows and a off road pipe.

The deltas are quieter all around. Like you said much quieter inside vs. out (the outside is only mildly quieter). Saying that, the delta 40's are still loud mufflers and your mustang sounds plenty loud.

Original 40's have more of that metallic under water type sound.

Sounds about right. I have given up on Flowmasters. Don't care for the sound anymore. Get yourself some Magnaflows

I got the $39 mufflers installed Friday. Sounds exactly like flowmasters:
