Should I Go with a Flowmaster or a Borla Catback system? Which will give me the best rumble, that Cobras are o so famous for?Flowmaster or Borla Catback?
go with the borla, i've got the borla stinger catback system on my 01, sounds amazing, its not that hard, loud, harsh sound that makes your ears bleed at times, its more a soft but loud rumble. my friend has it on his 03 mach1, and his father has it on his vette. can't go wrong
I have the Borla also on '04 SVT and love it. Add a set of Bassani mid-length headers and that's the combo. Under full throtle sounds like running open headers almost! Runs like it too!
If you want that big V8 rumble and don't mind the drone around 2000 rpm, go with the Flowmaster. If you're worried about the drone (bothered me), go for the Borla or Magnaflow.
I love my Borla side exit cat back, it has a really exotic sound to it. I am actually gonna change it out cuz its not quite loud enough for me (I can't speak for the Stinger systems cuz mine just has the normal Borla mufflers). I don't really care for the Flowmasters, not cuz they sound bad or anything, just that everyone has them and I'm tryin to be more unique. I'm tryin to see if SLP will sell the shotguns off the Loud Mouth system to me without buyin the whole system and have pipes bent...I'm obviously goin for REAL loud , thats probably cuz I'm young still, I'm sure someday I'll grow out of the preference for cars bein loud as hell though haha.
I have Bassani x catted and and no cat H with 2 chamber f/m which never rreally like. went with basic glasspacks which look in construction like the Borla and like them much better. There is Company in Charlotte called something like Werx Automotive that had Cobra 01 Borla for $550.
