Flowmasters louder?

Look in Summit or Jegs, should be able to find a O/R H pipe for $120-$130. I prefer the H cuz it gives the flows the deep rumble tone. And its loud enough. Shouldnt take any longer than the cat back install. Just get a can of PB Blaster to soak the exhaust manifold bolts and disconnect yer battery. Remember also you need a Diablosport Predator or X-Cal to turn off the rear O2's. Or pick up a pair of MIL Eliminators with the H pipe. If you dont the Service Engine Soon light will come on. Also the power difference between a H and X is less than 5HP so its more of a sound preference. More deep with H or powerful race sound with X. You can hear some sounds here... http://www.mustangexhaust.com/forums/soundclips.php?catid=14

My advice would be to get rid of the flows and start over. If you want loud go straight through muffler with an X-pipe and LTs. Powerwise, hi-flow cats or no cats are within a couple hp of one another so unless you need that last 2 hp it doesn't matter. I would be willing to bet my exhaust is louder than most on this site and it has cats. I have emissions so that is why i went catted. W/o cats i don't think i could tolerate it on a daily driver due to the even more ridiculous noise level so it all worked out in the end I guess.

Well thats Loudmouth's... :D And you have LT headers. If he likes the tone of the Flows, like myself, why get rid of them? Also I deal with emmisions testing. And Cali's one of the worse, but I can swap pipes every couple of years and I take my chances with "The Man." If you want obnoxious loud get an O/R pipe ans ome of these chambered tubes. http://www.classicchambered.com/classic/sounds.html I ran them on a 72 Nove with 450HP Nova and were as loud as open headers with straight pipes. Gave it a nasty dragster crackle!! :hail2:

Those prices are way high. I got my Mac Hpipe for 130 shipped from www.brenspeed.com and www.gtrhipo.com had them for 120 but shipping was alot being from CA. I sanded and painted mine with hi-temp paint from pep boys. You'll need MIL eliminators or a chip to turn off CEL if u didn't know.

good info - I wasnt saying those were the cheapest prices, just showing him that he could have a namebrand H for about the same or cheaper than a Pacesetter.

Alvarado- you working on your postcount or something. :)
I thought there was something wrong with my computer for a second. I kept scrolling down and the same post kept coming.
Parkgoons- if you decide you want a used prochamber PM me. I've had one in my closet for about 7 months, since I switched to shorty PC for my LT's.

Hey he said he wanted loud haha. Straight through mufflers are just louder than chambered ones. If he wants to keep the flows i would recommend an o/r H from mrt. I'm sure someone has already said that though. I liked those powersticks on that cobra drive by clip by the way.
