So after my PITA install finally was completed.....i found out the drivers side tailpipe rubs on my frame. There is NO room for it back there. It either rubs on the frame or the lower control arm (not sure if thats the right part) What would be the easiest way to fix this? both tailpipes wouldnt even fit over the axel unless we had the car jacked up on ramps and then had either me or my dad lift it up to decompress the suspension while the other slid the pipe over the axel, but the drivers side was a REAL pain to get on. Ill try get pics tomorrow.

Biggest peice of $#!+ ever. Worst fit, rubbed on rear brakes lines and frame. Came of the hanger and got caught on railroad tracks.

My weld ins rub the frame as the Super 40 mufflers are bigger than the stock muffs. I may see if my exhaust guy can adjust them somehow.

What Flowmasters?
Are you doing weld-ins or the cat-back system?

Hmmm...I had always assumed those were perfect in fitment. Were your hangers stretched or worn pretty good?

I just had my car up on a lift today, and it turns out that my right side muffler is slightly rubbing the driveshaft!

It is not rubbing bad but I think I will have to pay my exhuast guy a visit soon.

How much movement does your exhaust have??

With mine clamped down tight, i can't move my exhaust at all...maybe 1/4" in any direction.

As long as you can get 1/2 or so of clearance and tighten the hell out of everything you should be fine.

It has like 0 room to move on the drivers side, no matter how tiny of an incriment it will either rub the frame or that other part. The 2nd to last picture is kind of decieving because of the shadow but it has plenty of clearance from the brake line, nothing is close on the right side, just the drivers.

I had the same problem, the AM THUNDER system fitment is not very good. I even took it to an exhaust shop and I did a better job getting it up then they did, they were aww struck out what a pain it is. After 20 combine hours of taking my h pipe off, the catback off yadda yadda about 6 times, It finally went up so it didnt rub. I have found that its either going to leak or rub. Id rather have it leak I think eventually im getting a v6 bumper and doing turn downs.
