ok,l so i got the macs on. and wow... what a trip.. i wish i would have paid more attention before i started to cut and weld, i ended up having to cut a little more than 2 inches of pipe off my driver side, and weld the turn down on like 2 times, But good news is that I know feel really confident with the plasma cutter, and our welder! and the car sounds really nice.. i mean its not as deep of a growl, but just wow don't know how to describe it... and it feels like it has a little more throttle feel to it... I love em so far!!

What mid pipe do you have? That will make a big difference. I have flows and they sound awesome with my setup. MAC's do sound really close to flows.

I noticed a HUGE difference in Flows versus MAC mufflers. The MACs are rectangular, use thicker steel, and have a different baffle design. When I dumped my MAC Flowpaths with 3" turndowns on an offroad X-pipe, it sounded like absolute pure sex.

whatever that means.....

mufflers are mufflers, some sound different than others. You have two basic groups, a strait through muffler as a borla, and a chambered design like flowmaster... Each sound slightly different, so pick what you like.

As far as throttle repsonse or horsepower on a NA, stock cam, and stock head GT.....well, thats just not happening....

Mufflers are not that restrictive on stock, or bolt on cars. cat backs gain little hp on our cars. Ive had mulitple on my last two 98, head swap cars. Most of the gain, or any of it, is from the mandrel bend of the piping on bolt on cars.

Maybe i have a freak exhaust, but my flows are damn loud. Just an American Thunder cat-back with stock h-pipe.

Inside the car is quiet, as flowmaster advertises less interior drone. With the windows up and the radio on, i sometimes can't hear it.

But when i let a friend drive my car and he takes off it's damn loud. Even cruising by it's loud. I wouldn't even want it too much louder than it is.

It sounds way louder outside the car than inside does.

Fock you guys! MAC's FTW.....If you want to put fear in the hearts of many, rev up with mac's and make sure you have a nice mid pipe to complement it, there face will drop.....lol i sound like a douche but its true.

To the poster, you have to put a few 1000 miles on your macs for the tone to get deeper. They change over time!!! just like flows.

2 prime examples ^^^^

If you are going to go with chambered then go with Macs hands down. I ran them for a year before I swapped them out for Magnapacks. They are the best sounding chambered mufflers out, deeper and louder then flowmasters. Maybe I will post a video of my car with the Macs and then with the packs later tonight so you guys can hear the difference.
