If you were asking my advice, I'd tell you to stick with a good full synthetic oil (I use Mobil 1 5W20) and skip ANY oil "treatments". The only thing I add is Chevron Techron (the larger size bottle) every 5K miles, added to the fuel. Cleans injectors and intake trac & combustion chambers. I suggest using a good filter such as Motorcraft. I changed my tranny & rear end oil @ 11K miles. I used Red Line D4 ATF in the tranny and Red Line 75W140 in the rear end with 4 oz. of Ford friction modifier. I change the Mobil 1 every 5K miles adding the Techron at the same time.

for your specific question, i would stick to name brand synthetics. the techron additive does help out especially with fuel guage problems. even corvettes habe had problems, but when they add the techron additive, it helps tremendously.

but one thing to note about the ford sevice department. if you are a warranty only customer, meaning only show up for warranty reapirs, then they are less likely to help you out with a repair. if you go there and spend your money on their service procedures (30,000 mile service, etc.) then they look at you as a loyal customer. if you have a questionable problem, they are more likely to cover it, or help you out with a rental car, things along that line. the dealer can be your friend or your enemy when it comes time to make a repair.

the problem with this is that it is hard to find a good service department that you can trust. i know i have been through a few dealers, including the one i work at!!!

so if you use their tranny flush, cooling flush, fuel system cleaner/flush, etc. it goes a long way twoard good will for your relationship with the service dept.

Oil

You do not need ANY oil treatments-they are just snake oil, and they might even do some harm. A good full synthetic is ALL you need. Mobil 1, Royal Purple, Red Line-all great oils. I use Mobil 1 because it is good, it is reasonable, and it is easy to find. The dealer Motorcraft oil is a synthetic BLEND. As for filters, I use regular Motorcraft, a great filter at a reasonable price and easy to find. Ford uses it, that's good enough for me.
There are a lot of good filters, just stay away from Fram-junk. Purolator Pure One, K&N, Bosch, Mobil 1-all good. Maintaining your car isn't rocket science-just pick a good brand, stay with it, change it.
