I've been running 4 & 5 speed manual transmissions for the past 10 years but now I'm working on a project that will use a C4. I'm having a little problem finding the correct balance flywheel and damper to use with a C4. I'm thinking I will need a 28 ounce flywheel but I'm not sure if I will need a different damper with this or not.

Thanks for the help!

the more common term to use is "flexplate" instead of flywheel when you refer to automatics. It does depend on the year of your engine, and if you are using a newer 5.0/302, you will use the 50oz flexplate and harmonic balancer setup. All 302's before 82 (I think) use a 28oz setup. Make sure when you order your flexplate that you get the one with the correct amount of teeth too, there is 157 tooth and 164 tooth. The 164 tooth is bigger and uses a bigger torque converter.
