ok I need help :bang: , so i got this flywheel from Ram its right for my setup, the only thing its 164 tooth instead of the 157, and it seems everyone is using the 157 with a 10.5 inch clutch.i wanted to know whats the benifit of going with the 164 tooth flywheel? i know if i use the 164, which is 11 inch instead of 10.5 i have to use a 11 inch clutch, should i just stay with the 164 or get a 157? its going on my 331 5spd. am i going to have trouble with any other aspect of the install like the bellhousing, clearance?? or anything like that

You might need a different starter. Why did you get the larger flywheel?

X2...it's not quite right for your setup...the bell for a t-5 is setup to use a 157 tooth wheel...the starter engagement is determined by the bell's starter mount angle. i'm had a similar dilemma with a c-4...i wanted to run a 157 tooth flexplate, and discovered i had to use a 164 because of the bell...which also alters the bolt circle diameter on the t/c i had to use
