What is the difference between the fms engine blocks #M-6010-V351 with a 9.2 deck height and a fms #M-6010-W351 with a 9.5 deck height?

Are the heads/intake/exhaust going to be in the same spot with each block. The blocks are the same price but I'm confused on which block is like the one I'm using right now. I have a early 69-72 2-bolt 351/393 stroker engine in the car now. I want to upgrade to a supercharger and forged internals. So I think one of these blocks will do the trick I just don't know which one.

You want the 9.5 deck height, the 9.2 deck height will require a different intake manifold.

Ok I did some more searching 9.2=cleveland - 9.5=windsor?

And whats the hp rating on the sportsman A58 block compared to the W351 block? Theres about 600 dollars difference betwen the two.

Any Ideas?

try to aquire a 9.5 deck dart block. they have a better hp rating and require less machine work to be useable.motorsport blocks need to be decked linehoned lifter bores honed and cylinders bored.most motorsport blocks to public use to be nascar rejects usually because of thin wall castings and core shift. they may be better made today. both are better blocks than the stock stuff though. so whatever you can find at the right price is what you should get

Engine Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
