fog light delete-what to do with wires??

probably a dumb question, but if i take my gt fogs out for a billet grill or something similar, what do i do with the wires that lead to the fogs? just leave em hanging? i dont want water in teh connectors or anything, how do you guys take care of them?

If you are worried you can just wrap them in electrical tape and tuck them away there are plently of places to hide them away.

thats what i figured, just wondered if there was a way to actually disconnect to wiring or something without that "chance" of water getting in there and causing some damage

When I put in my Bullitt grill I just used some zip ties to tuck them up and secure them to the radiator support. I didn't think about water getting in there but I'm not worried about it.

Get a little bit of silicon grease and use a q-tip to apply it over the connectors, that will protect them from the elements, and add some electricians tape over the top for added protection. Then just zip-tie them to something.

i second the grease, to prevent moisture from getting into the connections and causing corrosion on the terminals. this is so that one day you can reuse the connector without problems. an open connector is just begging to cause problems.

can you get away without the grease? probably. will it be a better choice to use it? definitely.

appreciate everyones replies, definitely going to try the grease idea to prevent moisture.

now i have to decide on a grill, the car is all black, with roush track pak wheels( dark gray) going for the blacked out look. i have a steeda cowl on the car, and cdc classic chin getting paint with the center section matte black to flow with the lower grill. deciding if i want to smoke the signals or not, cops in the city and long island can be pains even with my "protection" lol

I also taped and wire tied. No grease...didn't even think of that
Now they are hooked back up and in use...the body shop said they worked, so... Hopefully they stay working

Smoked lights will look good. I'd do it to mine, but being a daily driver, I need all my lights to work well...I may go clear signals though.

Get some dielectric add squeeze into connections and tape up with electrial tape

im not sure if i wantto go the bullit grill route or the billet route. the only thing holding me back on the bullit grill is the satin trim ring on it. i may even decide to keep the fogs and black em out with the 3d carbon center foglight grill. who knows! so many options so little money lol

its too true though, i need like 5 cars to do all the mods i want and different looks i want for the car, already on my second set of wheels, and have "chosen" about 5 different paths for the way i want to go powerwise, NA, Supercharger, Turbo, Twin turbo, stroker, CAms it never ends!!!!!!!!!!!!!
