Fog light switch question?

Do I need the light blue and black wires for the factory switch or can I cap them? I am using a 3 position switch for aftermarket fog lights using factory yellow and red/black wiring and on the halo rings using factory red/black wire and grounding negative lead.


The wiring diagram doesn't tell me much about the need of light blue and black other than illuminating the switch??

What should I do?

You shouldn't need either of those wires if you're not using the illumination. Go ahead and cap them.

Just be careful of your polarities with the 3 position switch (it sounds like you might be mixing power and ground). A relay can be used to convert polarity.
