I have a quick question concerning my foglight switch. The insignia on the switch does not light up anymore, but the foglights work themselves, any ideas of what happened? I know it seems petty but I want to fix it. Could it be a short of some kind or an electrical gremlin? Thanks for any ideas.

do you mean they come on by themselves or they work and just the switch light doesn't?

Cause if they come on by themselves I would say def a short

But if just the switch light don't work maybe the bulb blew and with my knowledege of switches i've never seen any like that, that you can just change the bulb in I may be wrong with these but i doubt you can

the light blew. you need to get a new switch. they are like 25 bucks pretty much where ever you go. mine's been like that for a year now. i just deal with it, not worth the money for a little light.

And yes, you need a new switch for that little orange thing to light up!

Hey 94GT, how did you get your fogs to light up without the low beams on? My low beams have to be on to have the foggies on.

There is a bulb to replace, My buds 00gt burned out 2times. There is a little light and that light has a plastic piece (like a condom) on it that has color/tint to it. you have to pull out the switch and you can see it under it or kinda inside it. We went to a ford dealer one time and then went to a autostupid the next (or was it that we got the part number/size of the bulb and went there also the first time?) time.

I hardly ever used mine and still have no issues.

There are links all over on how to do this...basically you rewire the power switch from the fogs to the power switch on the conv. top (that doesnt exist, but has a power wire if you have a hard top)
