Another member already gave me some good answers. I found out today from the previous owner's mechanic that 8 mo. ago he put a new accelerator pump diaghram in and told me the cover was warped so he had to machine it to get a good seal. Is it possible to use a good sealant around the edge of the plate to fill in the warped area? (I'm looking for the accelarator cover part on the classified) Has anyone done this before?

What carb do you have on it ? If it's a Holley, I've got a half dozen extras. If it's an Autolite, I've got one of those too. You really don't want a "band-aid" fix that involves leaking fuel.
