An '04 is not the same as a Fox.

You're right, so let me give you the number from the 88 GT, I'm sure you would agree it is a Fox. With the Stock Engine, Stock Throttle body, Stock MAF, and Stock Air box, the car ran 13.30 @ 100 mph. Chaning to the even cheaper $34.95 CAI from Ebay, it ran 12.98 @ 104.

40th - there are other tests out there that show no difference at all when making the switch on a stock/mildly modded Fox body. So we have conflicting data to be resolved. Was the switch made in the pits? So the runs were back to back - same day, same track, same driver, etc.?

Looks good don't know why so many people are being so negative about it but I like it keep the mods coming and keep us updated.

Here's another perspective on the value of a CAI on a fox body....

http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2002/03/coldair/

Also 40th - was your comparison of a CAI vs. a stock box WITH the silencer removed and a flat panel K&N? The claim is that other than cosmetics, there's not much reason to go with a CAI vs. removing the silencer and adding a K&N flat panel filter...

They were made same day, same track, changed in the pits on both. Both at that time had stock engines, HCI, only the 88 had underdrive pullies and 4.10 gears. The 04 is just the way it came from the factory. The last run on stock was made with in 30 mins of the first run with the CAI. I would have to say same drivers, my son and I both run them. He likes to see if he can out run the old man..lol. I've out ran him in the 04, and he has out run me in the 88. Since it's only a one time test, it doesn't have the scientific data back up that most tests would have. Since the 88 isn't going to be stock this season, that data would be flawed if we tried it again. The 04 is still stock and we are trying to get it into the 13's in stock form. A little traction off the line would do it I think.

I don't know dude. If you had claimed a .12 pickup then maybe it could have been believable but .32? Was there a fat guy sitting in the back on the first run? There is the possibility that the same person didn't drive the car both times? Was it in the same lane both times? What about engine temperature? I've seen stranger things but I'd actually have to see this one to believe it.
