for those who arent haveing any header issues

I see that you have an auto. That limits your choice of LT headers to Kooks, MAC, and Hooker. I bought the Hooker ceramic coated LT's and am very pleased with the looks, sound, and performance. Along with the matching o/r x-pipe, I gained 23 rwhp.

Dont worry if you want the bbk's long tubes you can put them on an auto, you will just need to grind out about !/4 " off the passenger header to mid pipe bolt flange, as if you dont it will rub your tranny pan. and if you like the hookers you can get the flowtech ong tubes, they are the same header, but the flowtechs are way cheaper.

way cheaper and pretty much crap...flowtech is one of those companies where you get what you pay for.

What about the big long thread that claimed the Hookers and Flowtechs were built off the same jigs, etc. and were the exact same thing? Was that ever disproven by anyone on here?

I'm still curious about them because I have a strong disliking for my Macs.

personally, I have no experience with them. I am basing my post on the opinion of another member, screwed2v (formerly micool...also Michael Kidd on other boards) who used to or still does come in contact with them. I read in his post that, although they are designed in the same manner, they are very poor in quality. Flotech is made by Hooker, which is made by Hedman..someone correct that if it is wrong. The difference is that the Flotech headers are lower end pieces, resulting in lower cost but also lower quality.

I guess they could even sell the Hooker "seconds/blemishs" as Flowtechs. I'll steer clear of those now. I'm just tired of my leak prone Macs. I've almost thought of going with JBAs since my end goal is to go with a blower at some point and they do fine in a FI application.

and then you could get rid of the ray charles x pipe
