Well, I think for the most part you either put the stock exhaust back on, or fail the test.

I don't know any tricks or loop holes.

LTs will more than likely fail you. I recommend getting to know the people the give inspections. They can hook you up or you can go to one of those shops that you slip $20-40 and they pass you without testing.

If the state requires ODB testing, I dont think they can "just pass you" without doing the test.

My test is next year.. we'll see.

I've read on some posts long time ago that some guy with LT drive his car pretty hard before going for the inspection to get the cats and stuff hot or something..

You need to check your states emissions laws. NC will allow you to have L/T's, but you HAVE to have cats. Hence my L/T/Catted midpipe combo. For E testing, they do the obd code check and a visual inspection. I was told as long as I have cats on my car, I will be fine, L/T's or not. As long as I pass the puffer test, and have cats for the visual I should be fine. There are a fair amount of guys and gals around here that run L/T's and dont have a problem with E testing. Again its mostly up to how strict your states laws are regarding the matter.
Best of luck! Ill know how accurate this is come Oct lol.

My thought exactly as well... I'm getting set of MAC L/T ceramic coated and installed sometime next month...( It's not cheap installing those things ) My shop suggested that I keep my X-pipe and let them cut it to accommodate the L/T's and reinstall the CATS..that way you pass the 'visual' inspection and sniffer..I'm looking at spending $700-750 for this job..

It really depends on the state...you can pass the OBD inspection, but not visual.

I know, I know... but, I don't have the equipment, tools.... much less the lift the get under the car to do this type of job... hence paying someone else to do it for me.... besides, they have to cut my Bassani Xpipe and re-attach the cats to them... did I fail to mention that I am NOT mechanically inclined?....
