Hey, I'm looking at getting 31 spline axles and a 31 spline differential for my Mustang. What would be better for street/strip use? a Torsen differential or an Eaton Limited slip differential?

here's the links to both.
Eaton:
Eaton 8.8in 31 Spline Limited Slip Differential at AmericanMuscle - Free Shipping!

Torsen:
Torsen Limited Slip Differentials, Ford Mustang 8.8 Axle

Is the torsen mainly autocross and the LSD is mostly street use and drag use?

IMO, the Eaton will be alot better for drag racing. I know of some 600+ rwhp cars using them and launching on slicks without any problems. Another good choice for drag racing would be a Detroit Locker. It would be my choice over the Eaton also. Detroit Locker 913A561 Detroit Truetrac Differentials

The eaton seems just like an oem trac loc diff. Id either go with the 31-spine frpp unit, truetrac, or locker. I plan on going with the frpp one when I upgrade, unless I can get some extra cash for the truetrac.

the locker is a little bit more expensive than the eaton diff, ill probably just end up getting that one instead. I didn't know they made detroit lockers for the 8.8's. thanks
