Im starting a new job in August, (real estate appraising) so this means im going to be driving alot so i need a car that gets good Gas mileage. i was thinking on a 99 and up V6 mustang. what kind of gas mileage do you guys and ladies get with the v6, is it worth buying, how do they ride, Stiff, soft, comfortable ride, how does it take pot holes and the everyday bumps in the rode, Are they a rattle trap. let me know please, if i dont get a v6 then im stuck buying a 4 door accord. I really dont want to support the japanease market.

If you dont want to support the *** market get a Focus or a Neon or a Cavalier, if it was me I would get the Golf TDI. Nothing better than 50mpg hwy and 40+ city.

a focus, neon, or cavalier??? if you're chosen from those go: focus svt 2.0L 170hp, neon srt4 2.4L 230hp, or cobalt ss 2.0L 205hp, otherwise if you wanna conserve gas go biodiesel, start collecting fastfood oil from french fries. they give off a yummy smell where ever u go. mhmmmmm f..r..i..e...s...

Have you seen the cost of diesel lately? Its worse than what I pay for premium.. Even at that mileage you'd be better off getting something that runs on unleaded...

If you want a cheap eco car, get a 90's GEO metro...

I used to own a 2000 GT automatic and as I recall the V6 Mustangs were only rated a few miles per gallon better. My Cobra's MPG is around 14 mpg avg and it guzzles premium. I just think of it as an entertainment expense...

who cares about

why are you worried about gas price? if you're doing real estate appraising should you be making a $hit load of money. if not?? stick to what your doing now and pay for premium like you've always done..

I get between 250-300 miles to the tank in my V6. When I drove up here from Reno in Feb. I averaged 29mpg for the whole trip.

Don't bother with a v6 for gas mileage. It's not much better then a regular v8 and you can never escape the fact you're in a v6.

you'll get ok gas mileage in the v6, but like tyler said not too much better than the v8's. i wish i could have kept my v6 for a daily driver.as far as the ride quality and such, basically just like a stock gt.

I tell ya man, get a diesel. Its almost the same price as premium 2.69 vs 2.59 and you get 50mpg
