Has anyone else who has an 05/06 been contacted from where you bought your vehicle, about Ford buying your vehicle back for top dollar, so you can get newer model? I got one today. Just curious.

They're still doing this?
Just their way of getting you to buy a new car.
Top dollar my ass.
You'll get top dollar selling it yourself, nowhere else.

Thats what I figured too, as they said they are trying to boost sales. I checked blue book value and if I sold it outright, I could get almost all my money out of it.

I think you're probably right. I did the cars.com/autotrader.com/carmax.com search for a used 05-06 GT convertible but ended up ordering a 2007, as the average price of a used 05/06 GT Conv was within $600 of the price that I negotiated for a new 2007.

its a sales scam to get you in the door. my dealership did that once, and pissed off more people than they sold cars to.

I may make an appointment just to see what they offer, my research on my car did not include $200.00 worth of window tint and approx. $700.00 for the 3M paint protection.
I have until the 31st of July.

I called two dealers trying to see what kind of incentive was available (I have an 06 like two months old) and they were unable to find anything in reference to this on the Ford Intranet. They stated there are no incentives whatsoever on any 07 stangs, no interest no rebates. Do any of you guys know anything more about this? i did not get everything i wanted in mine and would not mind trading up as long as i don't take a bath, but i don't see how you could come out ahead regardless of their incentives. Thanks a lot guys.

I looked up the 07 on Edmonds to see if there were any new stuff on it, which it does but also they eliminated a couple things the 05 has and it's not worth my time for the few changes.

Dealers have been sending those promos out for years. Top dollar is wholesale, so figure about 5-6K less than you paid.

As said, its just a marketing tool to get you to buy a new car.

You will generally never get back the cost of stuff you add such as window tint unless you sell to an individual. Some people don't want that stuff and in a dealer's eyes it could actually hurt the sale of a vehicle.
