I'm doing my best to put yet another piece of equipment into the mess. I got all to the parts and wiring for a mid 70's Ford cruise control system. It looked to the a tight fit at fiest but with cutting and rewelding the bracket I tink I have it all under the hood at least. I used the speedo cables and speed sensor from a 77 van. The lower cable is way longer than it has to be, but it's now well out of the way of the headers. I just have to finish the control panel and mount the "brain", and run the wires. I tried to make it look as stock as possible but I had to put the buttons on top of the column. I should have come up with something better but this will work.

Tim, you can't get any more stock looking than that! looks great! I love the FOMCO on the outer piece of the cc. I really like the color of the car AND the carb covers to match the car. Really nice touch!!! :nice:

Thanks Jon, I found a spot for the control box. Now just get the box mounted and the wires run into the engine compartment and I "SHOULD" be done with it.

Tim, was that your invention of the pushbutton panel for the cruise control? i had never seen a push button. mine are all on the windshield wiper swtich. But of course they are the GM type.

All of the ford cruise stuff was factory mounted on the steering wheel. That requires 3 contacts on the bottom of the wheel and in the turn signal workings. Not something readily availible. So if you look closely at the switch unit, it is the bottom wire cover off a II column turned upside down and modified.
