I changed the oil today myself and there was no sign of graphite in the oil. I'm glad the mechanics know better to put crap in.

If I had the time, I'd go back and complain that I didn't get my free graphite and demand a refund.

My regular Ford dealership could not change my oil this saturday so I went to a different one.

You make more money searching through pay phone coin slots then doing warranty work.

Another reason why thecustomers that spend a lot get taken care of is because ford puts a lot of presure on the dealers to keep the warrenty numbers down.

So if your a serivce manager and your warrenty numbers are high, the way you get the numbers down is by cutting down on your warrenty only customers. You don't make much on them and they drive up your warrenty number.

whats the big deal about a graphite additive? Graphite is extremely slippery and would make a great lubricant. I have tubes of Graphite lubricant I use and doubt it will do any harm.

From now on change your own oil.

Either:
Wix Oil Filter
Mobile 1 Filter

Or:
Castrol GTX Oil
Mobile 1 Oil

whats scay is that they feel they have to add this to their oil. they either want to cut a slightly profit from the kickbacks they get from teh supplier, ot they dont think their oil meets specifications.

kick backs. I doubt they would care if the oil was not that great, and even if they did they would use a different oil

in fact most dealers use 5-20 motorcraft synth blend. we have the 5-20 on the main system ( gun in every other bay) and 3 guns of 5-30

I think this is very funny how this played out. they must have not cared at all if they kept him as a customer. hell most service managers would have had a tech drive the car back in and pretended they changed it again.
