I am attempting to put a sumped carbed style tank into my 89lx. My problem is that the fuel level sending unit doesn't seem to function. I was told that if I wired up the older style plug and inserted it in the original carbed style sending unit that it would work .Was I given a load of crap? Are the ohm ratings the same for an older unit as opposed to an EFI car. The gauge just seems to sit at like a 1/4 tank and moves very little in either direction. Any help would be great. Pat.
