So what would be the dream block of most of us? What i mean is if you had a killer hook up from a factory ford guy that could get you anything what engine would you go for? What would be the ultimate push rod engine ford sells. What about a mod engine? I am running swing this week and there is a new guy thats been here about a month, well come to find out he use to work for ford in michagan, He said he'd watch them load truck loads of engines cars and just shread them. peace

Some Website I found said:
Available over the counter from Ford for US$2,500, it made 616bhp @ 7500 with one or 658 bhp @ 7500 with two 780 vac-secs

The 427 SOHC "Cammer" for sure!!

I remember when Jim Green had one in his showroom for $2500 and your choice of cams!
It wouldn't fit in my 67 Mustang without alot of cutting. I sure wish I would have bought it, who know's what it would be worth today?

So are these still made to this day? He did say there was a few engines that just happened to fall out and one of them somehow fell into his buddy's farlane? What about the r302 blocks are those worth bragging about? Whats so special about them if they are? peace

Thats what i thought what were they around in the 60's? I remember the guy at woodburn talking about buying one for like $1600? way back when. Now he kicks himself everyday! So away from this what would be the all time one to get now adays that is still produced? peace

I really liked that 351cid v10 that they only made one of. It was 500+hp.
