I'm new to this whole thing, but i was wondering if any of you have some suggestions on how to perform this swap and a good web site to find parts.
So far this is what i think i need: Let me know if I'm right or not.
1. T-5 for 4 cyl mustang circa 80's?
2 Bell housing (not sure where to get)
3 Clutch pedal and linkage
4 Tail shaft from s-10 (what year)
5 shortened drive shaft
6 different slip yoke
7 pressure place
8 fork
9 throw out bearing
10 pilot bearing
11 clutch disk
I'm not to sure if i have everything, but i would like some suggestions as to where i can get these parts. I would also like to know what donar they need to come out of if from a junk yard.
Here i come to save the day!

I did the T-5 swap in my 66 Mustang, my 65 Barracuda, and my 63 Falcon Wagon.
1. T-5 use a v8 tranny, does your car have a V-8?
2 Bell housing, try to get this with your tranny
3 Clutch pedal and linkage (read my write up on how I did ths)
4 Tail shaft from s-10, I don't like this mod, sure it puts the shifter in the factory position, but the factory position is like 12" too far forward, use the stock tail shaft and the shifter is closer to you, be careful of the bench seat though. Also, the S-10 tailshaft needs mods to get the speedo gears to work right.
5 shortened drive shaft, yes, typically 1" BUT, measure it yourself to make sure.
6 different slip yoke, yes, your Ford-o-matic yoke will not work, keep it though, hard to come by
7 pressure plate (just get a clutch kit, includes pressure plate, disc, throw out earing, pilot bearing and alignment tool)
8 fork, yes, try to get this with the tranny
9 throw out bearing, see item 7
10 pilot bearing see item 9
11 clutch disk see item 10
12 flywheel
13 tranny crossmember (make your own)
Depending on what combination you go with, cable, hydraulic, or Zbar clutch mechanism, will affect which bellhousing and fork to use. Also, the flywheel needs to be the same balance as your engine, 28 or 50 oz. You'll need to choose diaphram or 3 finger clutch.
OR, you can buy the Modern Driveline kit, which is complete, quick and fairly painless. They do quality work.
You can put a T-5 behind anything. As a matter of fact, because of me, there is such a thing as an adapter plate to mate a Ford T-5 behind a Chevy bellhousing, long story.
