I am looking at the FMS aluminum driveshaft and mainly wondering is the gain of acceleration actually noticeable? I don't have much issues in vibration issues. Or I don't notice anyway...
I put one on my car, but can't comment on what I felt since the car hadn't been driven for several years when I did. However, I can say I do not have any vibrations at all up to at least 80MPH
Light weight, better looking, no you will not notice any difference in proformance but think about this, all factory cars and trucks come with aluminum drive shafts now, why? Technology has advanced and improvements made, a lighter stronger shaft will have less stress on u joints.
You certainly can keep your steel shaft and have new u joints installed and I recommend having it balanced too.
I had track plans for my car. There may be performance benefits when you are searching for tenths wherever you can find them. But I agree, not a worthwhile upgrade for most.
