Did ford racing make a supercharger? I'm looking for a CHEAP and very very mild supercharger that won't take too big of a chunk out of my wallet, and wouldn't but too much strain on my motor or cause it to have a short life.

Yes they did for the 96-98 2v. Supposedly they are working on a new one for the PI motors. But after the install kit and all, your still looking at only about 800 shy of a KB 6psi kit. I think bottom line best price for all the stuff for the non pi head kit (FRPP) is bout 3g's. Im looking into this also, and im really leaning toward the non ic kb. Just a little something to spice things up a bit. Thanks for any other input anyone has.

I would also be interested in this too. I would guess it would be an eaton style blower like on the cobra. Easy to install from what I saw. Little or no tuning?

The FRPP kit comes with the Eaton M-112 blower. Slightly more displacement than the typical M-90 that Allen, Saleen, Rousch use. It is turned slower as well. It comes with injectors and ECM calibrated for the set-up. When I was shopping, they were only available for 5-speed cars, but I heard they have an auto kit now. The reading I did also revealed that the actual horsepower numbers were relatively low also.....in the 75 - 85 hp range. And, no intercooler. I would suggest you guys do some research. Although not produced in high numbers, the Allen kit has a reputation for very high quality, reliable service, eager customer support, and an honest 100+ horsepower improvement. It comes with an intercooler and is designed to bolt right on. They used to $3500 complete. My car runs like a stock car untill you get into it, and want to scream. I have heard great things about the KB's as well.

You guys need to get a KB non intercooled , or cobra killer kit , ford racing supercharger will barely put you past stock LS1 performance . KB non-intercooled or cobra killer will be very safe and not strain the internals that much .

Yes. I have seen them in the Ford racing catalog, and they are sold thru a place iv'e seen in MMFF mag also. I think its "Powered by Ford". If I remember correctly, the centrifigul/ Powerdyne supercharger was advertised for the 302cid cars, pre-96 stangs.

I've been hoping for an FRPP blower for 99+ cars only because I can't get a KB in CA. My only other option for a blower that is reliable and won't destroy my stock internals would be a Cobra Killer kit. Which is slightly out of the price range I'd like to spend. Besides, at that point, I'd WANT to upgrade my internals, lower compression, etc. for some serious boost. With the FRPP one, I'd just leave it alone and keep it a mild blower.

who said you cant get a KB here? you surely can, but you are limited on the boost you can run. If i remember correctly you can't run more than 14 or 15 PSI.

Hrm, the reason why I thought they weren't carb legal was because on KB's price guide, it says it's not legal for all 50 states. *shrug*

Well, now that I know it is, that's another option to consider.

Not a lot, actually.

C&L 85MM MAF, True Flow Pipe, BBK 75MM TB, C&L Plenum and MAC ProChamber.

Most didn't believe it, even after I posted a dyno sheet.

I have "other" mods but, they don't add power, it's just misc. stuff like a shifter, subframes, etc.
