Ford Racing Springs M-5300-K ?

Has anyone purchased or installed these springs ?
I would like to see some actual photos of the 1.5 drop Ford
claims. Also is some other aftermarket company making these
for Ford or is Ford manufacturing these springs ?

I think that the company that makes suspension components for the FR500C makes these for street use.

I've got them on mine. They are a progressive rate that I've heard are made by Eibach but only cost $159. Dropped it down nicely.

The ride didn't change much due to the springs. It was already pretty stiff from the other mods. It did seem to quiet the whole thing down some. It's worth it to me just getting the ass end down from the trailer towing stance that ford seems to love.

GTwhtGT....... This is pretty much what I'd like to do to mine; Doesn't look like it dropped it too much. Two questions: Is it now too low to run a "chin spoiler"? What other mods did you have to make to install these springs? Total cost of lowering? (ok.... three questions!)

My main objective is to get the rear in down.... just to make sure some Elk out here in the mountains doesn't fall in love with it.

Total cost with shipping was around $175 or so. It brought the rear down about 1 1/2 inches, the front abount an inch. No problems with parking stops or curbs. With the chin spoiler you'd have to stop short when parking. There are no other mods needed for the springs. They have the tubing on the bottom coil. Pretty easy install especially if you have a compressor and air wrench.

Did you need castor/cambor plates to get the alignment back in line..?

I know that when you lower the car the car would be running a negative camber situation.. was there enough in the stock adjustments to compensate for this..?

where did you get yours from?

Go over to SVTPerformance and find Steve (Screen name; FORDSVTPARTS). He can get you a member discount on quite a few things.
Camber on mine didn't change much from the install, .02 out on the right. There isn't any adjustment built into it stock but Ford does have a kit for the car.

I take it that you bought only the springs and not the FRPP FR3 "Handling Pack". Correct? I believe that FR3 pack comes with a tower brace and other stuff (can't remember ....). BEFORE I jump off and do this: an adjustable panhard bar was not needed...... correct?

Only the springs, not the whole kit. The adjustable panhard bar is not needed for the spring install.

I've currently got a 2012 Mustang GT/Brembo (had a 2011 GT/Brembo, but long story).

Anyhow, I had the Eibach Pro-kit on the 2011. It lowered it decently,but I wasn't that impressed with how it drove. So I just ordered (and should be here thurs the M5300K kit from Ford. So I'll have pics and driving impressions (where I live, there is a lot of canyon driving, so the car gets pushed well). I've also got a replacement set of UMI lower control arms.

I will say this about the Eibach and any spring that lowers the cars center of gravity, it all but eliminates the dreaded "wheel hop" issue. I say by 95-98%. So rather than "hopping along", it lays rubber and as such far more controllable vs the "hop". So If looking for a cheap way to lower the car and get rid of the wheel hop in the 2011-2012 mustangs, springs will do it. Not the over all best solution, LCA's should be included, but good enough... especially for those not corner carving.

Only other thing I'll be adding is an adj. panhard,

I do wish someone would come out with a OEM brembo rim that was 9.5 or better 10" wide. 285's fit, but not optimal on a 9" rim. Those RTR's which look similar are in consideration, but with only 600miles on the P-zero rubber and liking the look of the brembo rims... money spent better elsewhere, less a trade.
