Ford Racing Super charger

The FORD Racing Supercharger is a Powerdyne...the belt driven unit.

Personally I would stay away from those since a lot of user have issues with the internal belt breaking, a gear driven charger like a Paxton, ATI or Vortech will be stronger and in the past yeilds better results.

im with u on this one why does everybody use a novi 2000? are they just bad ass or somthin

I was under the impression that Novi 2000 is one of the baddest s/c's on the market. Also alot of the drag racers that I see in magazines use them.

But If I was buying one soon I'd probably get a KB Blowzilla.

The ford racing blower would be good if you are running the stock boost it comes with. If you are planning to upgrade the boost then you may want to look into something else. Ive heard that they are really cheap for the rebuild kit, so if a belt breaks its not to big of a deal. Might wanna check into this before buying the kit. Price is also a factor. If you get the blower for dirt cheap (like 500-800 bucks cheap), it may be worth it. Just some things to consider...

hell yea they are bad ass. 1700 CFM makes it over 1.5 times more capable than an s-trim.

I always see people with Vortechs. Every other car in 5.0 Magazine has a Vortech on it, except for the hardcore drag cars, they all have Prochargers. I think because the plumbing and looks of the Vortech and Paxton is simpler you see them more.

I dont have any experience with the SC's but I do know that if a belt breaks, you are not stranded, just without boost.

no way procharger owns all, and to someones elses statement the procharger mounts on the rightside of the engine bay requires a relocated battery usually, and plumbs differently the vortech units mount of passengerside of engine and are easier to install.

that can be true and untrue, if u have a mild car running low boost yes u can get away with it, but if your really modded, really large fuel injectors, more fuel pressure, custom chip, the whole car setup is built around the sc than you can be stranded and car won't run without you ruining it.
