Don't forget to look at the cost of the TA vs. the GT. Yes the TA is faster, but you payed for that speed. Dump the difference in price back into a GT... and dine on ZO6's for breakfast.
yes the new gt's are slower but like stated above look at the price difference. Comparing prices you would have to own a cobra and that thing killed the ss's chevy built.
Back when the LS1s came out, they were cheaper than the 4.6 GTs. I went and looked at some. The Z/28s with 320hp LS1s were going for 22-24,000 with 6speed, and the 4.6 5speed GTs were 24-27,000.

No, email Motor Trend or Car and Driver about it. The base price Z/28s and Formulas were about 2grand cheaper or less than base PI 4.6's. The expensive ones were the SS's and WS6's. They reached 28-32k, but there's more to them than regular Z's and T/As. They were in Mach 1 range and they're faster than those, too.
