i'm sure everybody is tired of taking about ways of upgrading the front brakes on the foxes. i have read everything about using the lincoln calipers and ss brake lines and i really want 13" rotors with retaining the 4 lug(already have chrome rims). does it require sn95 spindles to run 13" rotors? if so, why could you not just re-drill out the spindels with the 4 lug pattern in them and then purchase 4 lug 13" rotors? just a question and a thought. please lend me any insight into this question. thanks mustang302fan

the FOX/SVO/Lincoln have front HUBS with integral rotors....the HUB HOLDS THE BEARING and the disk is machined part of it.

The SN95 is 2 peice hub system with a rotor that is replacable...this setup is lighter and easy to work on.

The two can not be mixed and matched. SOrry.

So, yes, you need sn95 spindles to hold SN95 hubs to hold sn95 rotors.

it sure is. i dont even think they make 13 inch rotors with a four lug pattern anyway. if you want four lug so bad with 13 inch rotors, you might (but not likely) be able to use a focus hub with a sn95 spindle and bearing. (youll have to press out the bearings, and thats if they are the same size) focus has the same bolt pattern as the fox four lug. so when it comes to rotors, you will have to get aftermarket for a focus. then for the rears, just use 93 cobra axles and discs or turbo coupe rear end.

or you can just go with five lug.

The shortest/easiest way to 13" brakes is to just suck it up and go 5-lug. Aside from 5 lugs being stonger, your wheel choices are limitless compared to 4 lug. If you are going for the sleeper look I think they make 5 lug ponies that would look just like the 4 luggers with the center cap on. The only thing there is you won't be fitting any OEM style 16" wheels with 13" rotors.

they make 17 inch ponies too. ive seen them before, i just dont know where.

I thought Baer made a 4 lug 13" rotor kit using a modified Fox spindle. You always pay a premium for Baer though.
