All 03+ head 4V 4.6 engines used the same cams.

Ford GT cams are different along with the heads, the GT500 uses the same heads but I believe the same cams as the 03-04 cobras.

The whole different intake cam information started with everyone comparing the Mach 1 engine to the 99-01 Cobra engine.

^ No 03-04 cobra heads got blower profile cams. 03-04 machs have a different cam setup....same heads though.

Mach 1, Aviator, Marauder, Cobra and GT500 all have the same cams.

Mach 1/Cobra/SVT-Shelby intake lift = 10mm = .39730 "
Ford GT cam intake lift = .43858"
Increase of intake valve lift = 0.04128" (just over 40 thousandths)

Mach 1/Cobra/SVT-Shelby exhaust lift = .39730 "
Ford GT Exhaust lift = .44724"
Increase in exhaust valve lift = .04494" (nearly 50 thousandths lift)

I find mixed results on the web. Same say what you say, others what I say http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/4v-svt/51447-official-03-04-cobra-terminator-facts-thread.html and others say that the intake came on the cobras is the navi cams, but the exhaust cams with the machs and 03/04 cobras are the same.

Im not sure whats fact and whats not. I was always told the 03/04 cobras had different cams.

Oh well, guess it doesnt matter in anycase. If I find any real links to prove one way or another ill post em up.

lots of good info on this thread. i learned something. there are so many different things with these cars. every year they come out with something better. my bad for saying something that was wrong. but i was right about my car. haha

but its true that there are so many different things stated so many different ways. good thing most of you guys know first hand. im trying to learn about these cars.

i have noone to ask... no one in my city knows anything about the MOD motors. every one around here is all about the 350 and pushrods!

Digging up an old thread...but:

Is there a way to determine if a Mach 1 crank is forged or not? Is there a part number difference and were ANY of the 6 bolts ones forged?

You mean while in the car?
Check if it's an auto or stick.

Outside the car but in an engine. Should have 8 bolts, as long as it's a mach 1 engine and has 8 bolts it's forged.

Outside engine. Count the counterweights, 8 = forged.
