Forged Pistons

i'm rebuilding my 4.6 sohc block. and i want to go with forged pistons. does anyone have any idea of good forged pistons and a price range?

I second the Manley option. You might also want to consider Diamond Racing and DSS racing as well.

CP pistons in my car. About $700 for a set but well worth it. The above mentioned pistons will work just fine as well.

Whats the difference tho??? I dont see how much of a difference it can make... As long as it is made of the same material what problem will you really have... I think if you have a forged block using all forged components no matter what name is stamped on em they can handle the power! The tune is where you gotta be careful!

monstamack, I agree, but I recommend CP or Manley, when you get to that point, you gotta go by the name, qaulity in parts. Forged parts are GREAT, but they're not bullet proof.

Because some pistons have beefed up ringlands and skirts, forced pin oiling etc...and some dont do your home work to find out what will best work for you.

Oh... For like blower or turbo... I figured just deep dished was all that mattered... I have probe pistons... 18.1 dish...
