OK guys, my dad has found an SVO that was destroyed. It sits without the front sheet metal, no doors and a serious amount of cancer throughout the rest of the body.. but all of the mechanical stuff is still there.

I would like to know what to pull.

I am thinking I can take the
From the front
Front Rotors
Calipers
Master cylinder
booster
From the rear
e-brake cables
rear axles
caliper brackets
calipers
rotors
Spare tire (if it's still in there)

Now, I already read http://www.svo73mm.cjb.net/ but it doesn't say too much about the front 5-lug swap. I need to know if pulling all this stuff is going to be worth it and what else that I should be looking for while I am digging through the remains of this poor Mustang.

Thanks Guys (and few gals)
-Steve

Side spats, sail panels, rear bi-wing

The SVO rear disk setup is really dated. First off it will push the wheels out 1.25" EACH SIDE and will severely limit your wheel choice on the rear. You can mofify the setup using stock lenght ranger axles instead like this

Thanks for the info.

I don't know what to do with a whole car... the body is pretty beat up from what my dad has told me.

But so far:
I have all of the brake parts (minus the axles)
the By-wing
sail panels
If it's still got the tail lights, should I get those too?

Anything else?

If they are there... and if they are in good shape, I'll let you know. I am going this Saturday to the guys barn with my wrenches and a hammer.

There has got to be more stuff from an SVO that I need to get.

Check to see if it has aluminum bumpers and get the lower control arms if they have the round bushings in them (vs our oval ones).

dude just buy the car, and take your time selling all this stuff, instead of ripping it all out in one day. I mean if people are going to be willing to buy all this stuff I bet youll make double what it costs to tow it, and get rid of whats left.

i would think all of the specific underhood parts that have anything to do with the turbo, or the hood induction parts. actually, i would think almost everything on that car that is in good shape will fetch good money cause svo crap is expensive and hard to find.

wheels

st. wheel

spoiler

hood

etc.

I talked to my dad again today... Forward of the strut towers is gone from the crash. So that means no hood, aluminum bumper or engine... The seats are there, but need a lot of TLC, the Steering wheel is there and so are a couple other parts. Still don't know about the tranny..

If the guy will take 300.00 for the carcus, I will get the whole thing and post pictures later. If not, I will just pull the stuff listed here and let the rest of the car go.
