Been pissing off for a while and thought it was the tranny front seal, I jacked it up and looked underneath to see what looked like fluid coming out of the drain plug on the tranny. I tried to tighten it with my fingers and to my amazement it was wicked loose!! I grabbed my 3/8" rachet and tightened it up and filled it back up with fluid (about 1/2 a quart low from the leak). I was wondering has anyone else run across this problem. I was thinking about draining it and putting some blue thread locker on it.

id would be real careful about using any thread lock on the drain. they like to gall in all by themselves. snug it and check it at the next oil change - if loose, think about other measures.

The drain plugs should be regular tapered "pipe fitting" type threads that seal as they tighten. If anything I would only use something like teflon tape. I've never seen one leak when it's tight though.
