Got stranded off I-4 last night. For a few weeks I have noticed that in the higher RPM bands it shudders and I was certain I had a fuel pressure issue.
I ordered a fuel pressure gauge but haven't installed it yet.
Anyway, last night I filled up with gas, started up and pulled to the parking spot to check my fluids. I put her in park and she died. Did it 4 times after that and I knew I was done. I did NOT have a check engine light at the time so I just assumed the FP died. I grounded the FP circuit and used a tire gauge to test the pressure and it was nil.
Replaced the pump, started it up and still had the dying issue. It seems to only die when it settles at idle. If I hold it at 2000RPM + it kept going. Once I discovered that, I got a check engine light.
Pulled the codes as follows
KOEO: 81, 82, 85, 84 (Emmissions crap / not a player)
CM: 33 (EGR), 66 (MAF), 87 (FP circuit), 95 (FP circuit), 96 (FP circuit)
KOER: 98 (Hard fault), 66 (DONT HAVE THIS LISTED AS A KOER CODE!!!)
The MAF appeared clean. Where should I start with this issue? Fuel or MAF codes???
Can the MAF codes have caused the FUEL codes or do I possibly have two separate issues?
Thanks!
Mike
