Can you say TRACTION!?! Those may not be slicks, hard to tell, but even if they're just DR's, damn....

What, are you a little threatened by a WRX much faster than your Mustang?

That's a good one. I'm surprised they put one together so quickly, the '06 hasn't been out but a few months.

Pretty sure they are radials, you can see the tread lines on the corner of the sidewall if you look. Plus the shape at the transition is wrong for slicks.

so is it just a poser or did it actually run?

Here is a article on that car:

http://www.chpltd.com/japanese_performance/icebreaker.html

EasyStreet also has a 9 second WRX, and you know the saying that the only thing better than a fast car is an even faster woman

http://www.esxmotorsports.com/streetcar.htm

and her Wally collection is impressive!

I'd hit it

9.80's...not a bad start

not sure I get what all the fuss is over though, sure it's the first WRX in the 9's but the DSM's have been there for quite some time. Even saw a video of one that was running low 8's and high 7's the other day, with AWD and a stickshift as well.

I think the transformer is cooler

How did you get a shot of the clock after Allen's stang was tested a few weeks ago? Those damn spy photos.

It's not the fastest WRX by any means. It just happens to be the fastest manual transmission WRX that anybody knows about. There are other 9.xx WRX's out there, but they're all auto.

I really don't see why someone would want to take a WRX and make it into a 9 second beast. That's what Mustangs are for. It would be like trying to make a Mustang an autocross/open track beast. What's the point?
