I have sn95 axels in a Fox. Want to run sve. Series 2 rim 18x10 in the rear. . Was told to buy fox length axles for it. How does a fox axle fit a sn95 if the sn95 is longer? Thanks

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

They don't. I think they mean that you need cut the axle down to fit Fox length axles. That's an expensive proposition.

It depends which sn95 rear it is ( I think ). Consensus says the 94 to 98 housings are the same as the fox...but the axles were longer to accommodate the ABS rings. This would mean fox axles will fit...they'd have to be 5 lug...or that one side of old square Rangers or old Aerostar vans. ( I've done it many many times but can't remember if it's the passenger or driver's side that you need 2 of ) People with sn95 cars do this to get a deeper offset wheel in the rear of their cars. You have to cut and swap the caliper brackets from one side to the other.

Driver side Ranger, passenger side on Aerostar.
I just bought some Moser 5 lug fox Axel’s with sn95 flange from summit. New or used, They’re available whichever way you want to go.

I'm making two assumptons here.

You have a 86-98 8.8 housing
You have SN95 GT/V6 rear disks and NOT Cobra

Then you need these (or the cobra versions)

Mustang Rear Disk Brake Caliper Adapter Brackets For 94-04 GT/V6 Calipers (79-93)

Check out these rear brake adapter brackets for your 79-93 Mustang Foxbody! Install 94-04 Gt/V6 Calipers
lmr.com

With these

Mustang Moser 28 Spline, 5 Lug Axles w/ 94-04 Flange | (79-93)

Complete your Fox 5-Lug disc conversion with these Moser 28 spline 5 lug axles with SN rear flange!
lmr.com

There are slightly cheaper axles, but the SN95 flange on these makes them my preferred axle to get the rotor to sit right, or you can get the cheaper 5-lug fox rotors and machine or buy a hub spacer. I believe it's 2.25" ID/2.5" OD spacer ring.

If it's an 99-04 housing, i think you can use those brackets with 94-98 Sn95 axles. I've never seen anyone actually do this so hard to confirm
