I am trying to keep the low coolant sensor in a OEM type of tank off any vehicle. Anyone find another overflow tank?
Thanks
Thanks
I used Flex-A-Lite 185 kit for a fox from Jegs ,the new shroud is designed to incorporate your original tank with sensor.I am trying to keep the low coolant sensor in a OEM type of tank off any vehicle. Anyone find another overflow tank?

Thanks, may end up going that route. Thought there might be another vehicle at the boneyard to that might fit...No.
Easier solution might be to figure out how to incorporate an aftermarket sensor into the factory wiring. There are a number of different sensors on the market.
For example
Amazon product ASIN B00BQS7UGWView: https://www.amazon.com/URO-Parts-251-919-372/dp/B00BQS7UGW/ref=sr_1_73?dchild=1&qid=1603384484&s=automotive&sr=1-73
The 87-89 sensor and 90-95 sensor are also wired differently, so that muddies it up a bit as well. 87-89 is 2-wire, but you can wire in the 3-wire 90-93 sensor. Key is finding an aftermarket sensor that works similar to how the factory sensors worked.
Thanks, yeah it is a decent kit, but they don't clear Vortech crank pulley, the Contour are slim fit. Sorry for not being more clear...I used Flex-A-Lite 185 kit for a fox from Jegs ,the new shroud is designed to incorporate your original tank with sensor.
I think p/n is 400-185.

Hi just the factory overflow currently. I need the Contour fans to clear the Vortech Brackets...What tank are you using now?
Thanks, not sure how expansion would effect the purge system vs the factory plumb overflow...Better to have an expansion tank instead of an overflow tank. Then you don't need a level sensor which is all the OEM one is.
Only thing I found so far is maybe the Canton 86-93 over flow tank, is slim and uses the factory sensor... Was hopeful for a junk yard solution, but never found anything.I was going to relocate my battery to the trunk and use a 82 mustang gt coolant overflow and windshield fluid tank. It sits in the location of the battery. Just haven't gotten around to it.

That would be great thanks! How much clearance?I am using the factory overflow tank. Just fits with a 3 row radiator.

I initially zip-tied it, but last summer a fab'd a bracket to hold it. If fits without hitting A/C or PS pulleys, though it is very tight. So far, 3 years and 12,000km with no issues.
If you want I can get a pic of it installed in a couple days.
Thanks for the pictures, sure is tight but it works for you. My car has no AC and the PS pump is up top. Guess I will try. Thanks for the pics. I hate storing for the winter also....
