Hello all, I'm putting together my 89 gt. Car came with no computer or wire harness, so I'm going carb. I was thinking eldelbrock 1406 600-650 cfm. Is it a decent carb or are there any suggestions. Just a street car and don't need to break the bank. Thanks

Should be a good daily driver carb with electric choke on a mild street engine. They are entry level and easy to learn how to tune,
I would verify float level settings before install.

I had that carb on a mild 306 for years. Worked well and got 26mpg out of it. It was on a 89 gt convertible.

Factory refurb Holly 650 CFM 4160 DP

Holley FR-4777SA Holley Aluminum Double Pumper Carburetor - Factory Refurbished

This is an official Holley Performance Factory Refurbished Carburetor.
www.holley.com

I am a Holley carb guy as that is what I know how to work on and have had great results with them. Currently have a 750 cfm 4160 that was worked over by the Carb Shop for road racing and is now 830 cfm. Works really well on the 351W in the Bird.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking this carb or possibly a brawler.
