fox computer

The A9* series of Fox III puters are less refined and can be thought of more as RPM based than load based (a whole lot less finicky, but also not as evolved IMHO). The question you raise is kinda like when Fox III guys cant get a car to run right and want to toss an intake and carb on the car. Sure it's a solution but it's a step backwards.

For the time and money involved you can get your current EEC tuned and save yourself a lot of headaches, as well as keeping a more advanced processor.

For more info, search about "PIH swap". That's the name of one particular kit.

Good luck.

Stay with the EEC in your car with a tune. If you use the Fox A9* series, you're still running a stock computer, with a stock tune, plus you need to pick up an aftermarket fan controller (DC Control is the best option). I don't believe you would gain any extra tuning capabilities by taking a step backward.
