Fox conversion on a New Edge?

I have a 93 coupe 4 cylinder car that runs. I also have the chance to purchase a 99 Cobra w/ 41k that is missing the engine and tranny for $2500.

I was just wondering if anyone here has done a driveline conversion? My k member wouldn't bolt up would it? Anyone used the stock fox wiring to run the new edge head and tail lights?


I REALLY want a new edge for my 460w, but if the car doesn't run, I will lose interrest in working on it after a few weeks, so I want to throw the running gear from my 4 banger into it, so I will not lose interest in it.

I want to take every peice of wiring, along w/ the engine, trans, and what ever else will bolt up and throw it in the Cobra untill I can cough up another 15g to finish my 460W and TKO setup.

Just may have to do a turbo swap on it before I get the windsor in there.

I'm getting a 351W stroked to 460.... It would go in the new edge after it is built. I just like the way the new edge cars look over the fox cars, I just know how to diagnois stuff better on the fox platform.

2.3L turbo making 350-400HP. Weight distribution will be closer to 50/50, less weight overall. Good brakes, IRS out back. SHould be fun

Thats not easy at all, you couldnt even run the stock bottom end on the 2.3, you would have to get a turbocoupe engine or svo, then a big turbo and ic, and lots of tuning!! yes it would be awesome, I would actually do something like this, just lots of tuning....

ps, a buddy is thinking about this for a 97 cobra as well, but this would be a 2.3T not a 2.3NA
